WASC is the term we use to describe the comprehensive re-accreditation process that Milken Community High School (and many other schools) undertakes at regular intervals to study its mission, program, administrative structures, development & fundraising and to plan for the future.

Because Milken is a part of CAIS, our re-accreditation is conducted according to their more specific standards. The CAIS standards ask a school to conduct its self-study according to thirteen principles and to report data in a thirteen chapter self-study.

Fashion for Compassion brought many groups together: traditionally religious and non religious, Persian students and non-Persian students, typically service minded students and typically non-service minded students. Although the motivations and interests may have been different, the ethical work ultimately was achieved. A pluralistic community came together to do ethical work.

Wendy Ordower took 25 students to Sacramento do learn civic work on the "Panim el Panim" trip. This work allowed our students to interact with other students from other institutions, building a civic community beyond just our school.
