Revised "Starstruck" Outline (from class work):

Act 1

Bathroom - Steven does his one line of dialogue while looking in a mirror. (:10)

Home - Friends come over (:10)

Home - Commercial airs during a Lakers game.  Friends act impressed.  Best friend: "Cool, dude."  Steve mentions that everyone onthe set said they'd use him in their next commercial. (1:00)

Home - Establish relationship with parents - Mom's proud of him.  Asks his mom "My friends weren't lying..." - see Steven's insecurity. (:30)

Night, on a date - Steve's girlfriend says once the whole world sees his commercial, they'll not be able to walk in the place.  (Witness the power in the relationship - she dominates the conversation.)

Home - Check arrives.  It's a lot of money. ($10,000)

Home - Steve comes home from a shopping spree.  Mom questions him a little, but he assures her it wasn't much money.  (Weird and useless stuff - foot massager, huge watch, Wii...)

Act 2

School - In carpool lane, Steve gets a call from his carpool ("Where are you?").  He tells them to take a cab, he'll pay for it.  (:15)

School - He drives up to the school, stops the car, and gives a dollar to the security to park it for him.

- He walks onto the campus with a new swagger. (:30)

School Class - During class his cell phone rings.  He takes the call (from an actor friend in the commercial). Teacher comes up to him and Steve gets off the phone.  Tells the teacher he might have to get used to it. (:30)

Between classes: Steve is talking with other students, talking about his new found stardom.  His girlfriend takes him away and says she hasn't seem him all day.  "I'm here now babe."  She's placated. (:20)

Home, after school - Steve calls the Commercial Producer and can't get him on the phone. He sees him commercial on TV again. (:20)

School -  Steve signs his autograph to papers that other students are working on.  (:15)

School - Advisor wants to see if he's all right.  He's heard some things.  Steve talks about himself in the third person. (and in an English accent?)

Looks beyond the person who is talking to him.

Disses his girlfriend.

Best friend tells him he needs to cool it.  Steven overreacts.
